They're owned and operated by Walmart

They're owned and operated by Walmart. Those saying they're a rip off are probably too young to remember video stores where you'd go in Friday night and rent 5 movies and a game of 2 and procrastinated taking them back because they didn't get to all the movies or that game was so so so fun! They take them back to late fees of $25 or $30! Like $75 or $100 now! I was working a minimum wage job back then @ $3.35/hr!

Perhaps desperate for your money

I have made a lot of movie purchases thru Vudu and I've generally been happy. My wife and I recently attempted to rent and watch a movie and that didn't go well. It was a 48 hour rental but the movie disappeared from our library after only 24 hours. I emailed customer service and explained EXACTLY what happened. It took them 10 days to get back to me. The explanation from Michelle said they couldn't refund "accidental purchases"? Where did that come from? They can keep my $4 and I'll be renting movies somewhere else.

Charged with no rental.

I wished I would have read the reviews before I started using this app, they continuously charge me for movies that they can't stream and then only give me 24 hours to watch them to which I never get to watch I am suspending Vudu from all my phones and TVs!

Needs Improvements

Vudu is great because you don't have to keep up with DVD or Blue Ray discs. It's all online and you can watch it almost anywhere there's Wifi. I especially like the bundled packages, that way I have all of the sequels organized in one place. For example, How to Train Your Dragon 1,2 and 3. The problem is that I bought the bundled package of How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2. A few years later, they released the 3rd one. So I bought the bundled package with all 3 because in the past, Vudu would refund me for the bundled package of 1 and 2 and remove them from my account. But apparently they've stopped doing this if you've bought a movie over 30 days ago. Sequels are released a lot further out than 30 days from the original movie or the sequel. That's extremely frustrating! I don't like watching the 1st and 2nd movies that are bundled together and then having to search for the 3rd one elsewhere. Like I said, I like for all of my movies with sequels to be bundled together and organized that way. But now Vudu refuses to do that anymore. They're not losing money by any means. They're just being jerks.

Seamless Business. Love it!

I have been a faithful and loyal customer to VUDU! Love how seamless it is. It reminds of my old days with Blockbuster. Straight simple forward business.
You either rent the movie or buy it. I always buy and when I do I always buy HD. AMAZING PICTURE QUALITY. 10x better than I have ever seen.
Thank you VUDU. I own over 200+ movies and TV shows with you guys.
I watch on my phone when I’m traveling. Just wish I could watch in other countries. Maybe one day you will!!!

If I can put negative zero as a review I would!!!!!!!!!!! They accept your money perfectly fine until you have to play the movie it’s error messages for hours by the time you play the movie it starts skipping pausing until it come to a compete stop! This app is almost like a scam ... it should be banned from streaming period! SMFH

Deceptive practices and poor customer service

Deceptive practices and poor customer service. I have 3 separate issues. First, I was forced to make a purchase or lose expiring credits so I bought 3 movies. I have never watched any of the three and asked Vudu for them to be deleted, but also be provided with an equal credit so that I could buy movies I actually want. This has been done for other customers but I was told no. Second, I was using Vudu's disc-to-digital service and accidentally select SD instead of HD on a movie. Vudu allowed me to delete that movie and receive a credit, but Vudu did not adjust my allotment of D2D titles for the year. When I followed up with customer service, they refused to adjust the allotment, even though I was originally told it would be automatically adjusted. Lastly, I asked for my complaint to be escalated and have heard nothing in 4 days. It's reasons like this people are leaving Vudu for Apple/iTunes and other competitors.

Worst customer service I have ever…

Worst customer service I have ever experienced, I will not do business with Vudu again and I suggest others do not ever use the Vudu service. I have three coupons from recently purchased Ruku devices and they are not working. After contacting via phone 2 times and opening a ticket on the Vudu web support system, including uploading copies of the 3 coupons, Vudu still will not credit my account. They are closing the ticket! Based on the reviews I am reading and my own experience, Vudu is a company that wants to go out of business!

The commercial with Satan needs to be removed it offends believers in GOD and it is disgusting to have to see the MATCH commercial.

4K Bluray Digital Code might be HDX

Got the run around that its not Vudu's fault if digital code doesnt work for UHD. I bought the 4K bluray with the Digital code but when claimed got the HDX. Beware, an UHD title might not be claimed. You will receive a HDX and Vudu says its the studios decision and to contact them.

Definitely one of the worst video…

Definitely one of the worst video streaming services. The way their sign in is set up is the most annoying way you could possibly design it. They also have charged me for videos that i couldn't watch because of technical difficulties on their end. Their customer service is atrocious and the only reason I ever try to use them is because of their vast movie options. Waiting on a company with the same movie options that well run them out of business. It shouldn't be too difficult.

Can't get 15 min into my fav. Movies and network error

I can stream hd and uhd on amazon, netflix, hbo now, showtime, youtube. But i can't make it 15 min sometimes into my movies before it gives me a network error. I transferred 50 movies to digital from disc and i can't watch any of them because vudu streaming is messed up. They are the only service that i have trouble with. I do not recommend this service for anyone. Internet speed doesn't matter. I have 30 mb download and it still doesn't work. Broken. Don't waste your money.
